Is Finowiz a Reliable Broker?

This Finowiz review is the result of a thorough investigation into its regulation, transparency, and client reviews.

Finowiz — also trading as Finowiz Limited, FinowizFX, and Finowiz Prime — sits on the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Warning List as an unauthorised firm. It cannot legally offer financial services in the UK, has no FSCS or Ombudsman protection, and traders should avoid depositing funds with it.

Is Finowiz Regulated?

Finowiz Website

No. The FCA’s official warning confirms Finowiz and Finowiz Limited hold no UK authorisation or registration. The regulator states the firm may be providing or promoting financial services without permission, and it advises consumers to avoid dealing with it and stay alert for scams.

What Websites Does Finowiz Operate?

The FCA warning names three linked domains: www.finowizfx.com, finowiz.com, and finowizprime.com. The firm also runs active accounts on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube — a common tactic unregulated brokers use to appear established and trustworthy. The FCA also flags a UK address in Islington, London, alongside an overseas address in St. Vincent and the Grenadines — a jurisdiction commonly used by loosely regulated offshore forex operations.

What Happens If You Trade With an Unauthorised Broker Like Finowiz?

  • No Ombudsman access. Customers of unauthorised firms cannot escalate disputes to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
  • No compensation scheme. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme won’t cover losses if the firm collapses or disappears, making fund recovery unlikely.
  • Fake contact details risk. The FCA notes that unauthorised firms sometimes list incorrect addresses, phone numbers, or emails — or even borrow a legitimate company’s details to look credible.

How to Protect Yourself From Firms Like Finowiz

  1. Check any broker against the FCA Financial Services Register before depositing a cent.
  2. Ignore unsolicited calls, emails, or social ads promising guaranteed trading returns.
  3. If you’ve already sent money, report it immediately — UK victims paying scammers on or after 7 October 2024 may qualify for Payment Systems Regulator protections.
  4. Report the firm directly to the FCA on 0800 111 6768 so it can add your experience to its wider investigation.

Finowiz Review: Final Verdict

Finowiz is not a regulated broker in the UK and remains on the FCA’s active Warning List. Anyone approached by Finowiz, FinowizFX, or Finowiz Prime should treat the offer with extreme caution and stick to FCA-authorised brokers for genuine capital protection.

Safer Alternatives to Consider

If you’re looking for a broker with similar offerings but stronger regulatory backing, we’d suggest looking at platforms licensed by tier-1 regulators such as the FCA or ASIC. These brokers are required to keep client accounts separate, meet minimum capital requirements and follow strict conduct rules, protections that unregulated platforms cannot match.
